Q: How do I sign up for Orientation?

Q: When do I sign up/pay for ODP?

A: Sign up for ODP100H1 (F) on Acorn, you can start paying for ODP using starting July 17, 2023. Full payment must be made by the tuition payment date to ensure that your place in the camp is approved. Payment will be made through Acorn.

Q: How can I register for my courses?

First years enroll for KPE courses on ACORN on July 11th, 2023 at 6 a.m. Upper years will enroll in courses on July 10th, 2023

Q: When do I register for my elective?

A: August 2th, 2023 at 6am. 

Q: How do I pay for school?

A: You can defer payments until you receive OSAP (see next Q), to pay for your courses; you have to pay through your bank. Print the invoice on Acorn and bring it to the bank. 

Q: When is the deadline for OSAP/When Do I receive OSAP?

A: You should apply for OSAP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to receive it as EARLY as possible so you are not penalized and pay more if it does not come in on time.

Q: When do I declare my degree?

A: Do not worry about what it says on ACORN - you are in ALL THE SAME COURSES in 1st and 2nd year. You receive a form to declare your degree after 2nd year.

Q: When and where should I purchase my textbooks?

A: You can get your textbooks by purchasing them from the U of T Bookstore or from an upper year student. On the Facebook page for the Class of 2023, upper year students will post a book and a price and it is a first come first serve process. You can buy used or new books at the U of T Bookstore. You must purchase a NEW Anatomy Textbook (you cannot by a used one) – it contains a code that will be attached for your online quizzes.

Q: I want to be a doctor/chiro/physio? What courses do I take?

A: Go on Grad School websites for your desired program and read about it; every program is DIFFERENT. Some need language, sociology, biology, physics, chemistry, others need other things.

Q: Do we have the same classes together?

A: Yes you do; except for your Tutorial sections and PRA classes. The latter are smaller groups and have about 20 people in them, the rest everything is together.
